Patchwork and Quilting
Fridays 9.30-12.30
at
Mabe Community Centre
Classes start 12th September 2008
Details
This class accommodates both beginners and the more
advanced student. Beginners usually start with a Sampler quilt which enables them to learn lots of processes and techniques. For more advanced students the featured project this year is a Fruit Block Applique quilt which may be made by using machine or hand stitching. It has been planned to stimulate a more artistic use of fabric and free machine stitching. Student's may if they wish make a Baltimore Album quilt instead or perhaps design their own quilt. Although lessons are structured to make the most of the time available they are also fun and stimulating and student's are encouraged to work at their own pace with plenty of freedom for self expression.
These classes are being run privately as since the concessionary rate has been taken away from OAP's the classes have become far too expensive for a lot of the students. But they will still be fun with lots to learn!
